At the moment Apple Music is only available on iOS devices, although Apple has promised that it will be making its way to Android eventually. That being said, screenshots of the app for Android have allegedly made their way online courtesy of the folks at Mobilegeeks (via Android Central), giving us a glimpse as to what the app might look like on Android.
Unsurprisingly it seems that for the most part, the app looks like the iOS version in terms of the layout and how songs are recommended to users. However there is a slight change. Instead of the categories being laid out at the bottom like it is for iOS, the Android version slides in from the left.
In fact this is actually a pretty good idea since a lot of Android apps tend to use this particular design, so by offering a familiar layout, users won’t be confused with how to go about navigating the app. It is unclear as to when the Android version will be launched, but from what we can tell it looks like the app is pretty much good to go.
However we suppose the more important question is how many Android users will be willing to embrace the streaming service? After all with Google Play Music and Spotify being some alternatives, is there really a compelling reason for Android users to jump on board Apple’s own music streaming service?
