YU, the smartphone brand that has the backing of Micromax, looks all set to roll out their next generation device, although the name of said device is still up in the air, especially when you take into consideration how all of the “good” names such as Yureka, Yureka Plus, and Yuphoria have already been taken. This September 8, the company has an event lined up, and press invites for it are starting to be sent out.
The press invite does mention that this is when the future will meet up with the past, where the next wonder will be unveiled. Hmmm, is that a clue by itself, that the handset could be known as “Wonder”? Perhaps, but then it would definitely lose the effect of a punny name as with its predecessors.
Well, other than the press invite, details concerning the handset has been pretty much scant – or non-existent, to be exact. Either the folks over at YU have done a splendid job at preventing any kind of leaks from happening concerning the device, or there simply isn’t enough traction to get the interest level of the people up in order for them to take the extra effort to dig up anything and everything concerning the handset. I guess we will just have to wait for a few more days before all is revealed.
