Many Xbox One owners out there might be well aware that they will soon receive a major update for the console which is going to bring a whole new dashboard powered by Windows 10. The company has already started rolling out a test version of the redesigned dashboard to select members of the preview program, those who got picked for the test can check out the new dashboard for themselves but for everyone else Microsoft has put up an eight minute video detailing what the new Windows 10-powered dashboard is all about.
This is the first hands-on look from Microsoft at the new Xbox One experience. The new interface aims to make it quick and easier for users to access and discover what they want, when they want. Microsoft says that it focused on speed, ease of use and feedback from fans when completely redesigning the Xbox One dashboard.
It reminds us that the new user experience is currently a work-in-progress which will be put through “rigorous updating and polishing” with the help of selected preview members before it’s deemed ready for public consumption.
The eight minute video is narrated by Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson, and Richard Irvine. Microsoft is expected to roll out this major update for the Xbox One this November.
