We do know that Apple has already requested developers to submit watchOS 2 apps less than a week ago, where that followed the earlier reveal concerning a new update for the Apple Watch. However, it looks like not everything is fine and dandy with the folks over at Cupertino, since Apple has decided to delay the release of the watchOS 2 update today as planned earlier, citing that a bug was discovered during the development stage which will require some time before it is fixed.
Basically, Apple issued the following statement: “We have discovered a bug in development of watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected. We will not release watchOS 2 today but will shortly.”
Apple has remained mum on what the issue was, and neither did they shed any more light as to when the updated software will arrive for the masses to take advantage of. The watchOS 2 update is meant to ensure that your Apple Watch is speedier than ever before, not to mention allowing you to enjoy additional watch face options, such as the ability to use your own photos as the watch face. Apple also claims that the new software update will pave the way for more “native” apps for the timepiece that does not require you to whip out your handset.
