For those hearing about the device for the first time, the VAIO Z Canvas 2-in-1 was launched earlier this year. The tablet will feature a 12.3-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1704. It will feature a keyboard and a stylus, so in essence this tablet is kind of like Microsoft’s series of Surface Pro tablets, or one might even liken it to the upcoming iPad Pro.
Under the hood, an Intel Core i7 Haswell processor can be found along with support for up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It will also come with Windows 10 Pro preinstalled, so if this sounds like a device you don’t mind getting your hands on, you can pre-order it via VAIO’s website where it has been pegged to begin shipping come 5th of October.
In case you’re not familiar with VAIO, the brand used to belong to Sony until they sold it off to a Japanese investment firm. Since then VAIO devices have largely remained in the Japanese market, at least until more recent times where it was announced that they would be making their way stateside, and we guess the Canvas 2-in-1 will be their first device.
