For starters for the more hardcore Twitter users, the update for iOS 9 will now allow users to reply mentions directly from the notification itself. This allows you to keep working on whatever it is you’re doing without having to directly leave the app. This is similar to the reply feature offered by Apple’s Messages app.
We’re not sure what took Twitter so long to introduce such a feature, but we suppose better late than never. For Twitter users on the iPad, you will also be pleased to learn that the update will now support the split-screen multitasking function. However it should be noted that due to hardware constraints, some of the features might not be available for older iPad models.
Taking full advantage of split-screen multitasking will require users to own the iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, or the iPad Pro. For older iPads like the iPad Air, iPad mini 2, or the iPad mini 3, Split View will not be available, but you will still have access to Slide Over and Picture-in-Picture. The latest update for Twitter is available in the iTunes App Store, so head on over for the download.
