Remember earlier this year we reported on a device called the Tempescope? The good news is that if you thought this would be a cool accessory for your home, you’re in luck because its creator Ken Kawamoto has announced that it has been planned for an Indiegogo launch on the 30th of September.
This means that if you’re so inclined, you could help fund the device and actually make it yours. Now for those who are unfamiliar with the Tempescope and are hearing about it for the first time, basically the device is a box with a see through glass display. Within the box, it will be able to tell you what kind of weather to expect.
Sounds pretty straightforward, right? However what makes it unique is the fact that within the box itself, it can actually mimic the weather you can expect. So if it is going to rain, there will be water effects. There will also be lighting effects in order to simulate thunderstorms, and there will also be mist to denote that it might be a cloudy day.
This would no doubt be a more entertaining and novel way of checking the weather. Granted it probably won’t do much if you’re trying to determine the actual temperature to see if it is hot or cold or windy, but it’s still a pretty awesome device anyway.
