As you might have heard, luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer will be getting into smartwatches later this year. Previously the company had stated that they had planned for a November release but in case you wanted a more specific date, you’re in luck. Speaking to Bloomberg, TAG Heuer’s parent company LVMH’s CEO Jean-Claude Biver confirmed a 9th of November release.
The watch is expected to be launched in New York on that date at 11am so if you’re a fan of TAG Heuer’s offerings and are willing to part with your money, that’s the date to look forward to. Biver did not confirm the price of the watch but last we heard, it is expected to be priced at $1,400 so we’re guessing and assuming that nothing has changed since then.
While TAG Heuer’s smartwatch has yet to be pictured, the company has stated previously that it will look like a regular timepiece. According to Biver, “That was our biggest challenge. How can we make a connected watch that looks like a normal watch with the normal DNA of the Swiss watchmaking?”
We had also heard that it could end up looking like the TAG Heuer Carrera series of watches, so if you’re after a more traditional design but still want the bell and whistles, then TAG Heuer’s smartwatch is one you’ll want to check out.
