As you might have heard, EA and DICE are expected to roll out the beta for Star Wars Battlefront next month. From what we have seen of the game, it definitely looks exciting and it will be interesting to see DICE bring their experience from creating Battlefield titles to the Star Wars universe.
Now the good news is that if you are curious about the game and want to get in on the beta but don’t want to buy the game until you try it, you’re in luck. EA has recently announced that upon the launch of the beta, it will be open to everyone. According to EA, “Now that we have officially announced the beta, most of you are just itching to know how you can get in. Well, we’re excited to say that the beta is open to everyone!”
This means that regardless of whether you have pre-ordered the game or what platform you are playing on – PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC – you will be able to participate in the beta, which we’re sure that EA is hoping that it will result in some converts who will then purchase the game. Even better news is that you will be able to play the game’s offline modes too.
So if you’ve a bad connection or maybe you just want to experience the game in its entirety and not just the online aspects of it, you will be able to do so. Unfortunately there is no release date of the beta save for the month of October, but EA has promised to announce the date once they’ve nailed everything down.
