When it comes to choosing a carrier, it’s important to look at their rates. Not just locally, but internationally as well, especially if you’re a frequent traveller. Yesterday T-Mobile announced their plans to expand their Simple Global program to 20 new countries, and it looks like Sprint will be following in their footsteps.
The carrier has recently announced that they will be adding 33 new countries to their Sprint Open World program. Basically this means that if you are travelling to these countries, you can expect to pay extremely low rates for calls and data, or in some cases you might even get free calls, texts, and data depending on which country you are travelling to.
These new countries include, France, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, St. Barthelemy, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Suriname, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Vanuatu.
According to Kevin Crull, Sprint’s chief marketing officer, “When our customers are vacationing in the Caribbean or traveling abroad, we know they want to be able to communicate with friends and family free from worry about surprising costs to text, make a call home or send a photo. We are continuing to add more destinations and enabling our customers to stay connected virtually wherever they go.”
