They are also relatively similar to the Style Cover Window cases designed for the Sony Xperia Z3, so if you were expecting something different, you might be disappointed. However if you liked the previous design then we suppose this is good news. For those who are unfamiliar with the case, it’s pretty straightforward.
It is a flip-open case that stays closed thanks to a magnet. The magnet will do more than just keep the cover closed. It will also be able to switch between case mode and non-case mode. Case mode basically enables a special display that can be viewed via the case’s window. This window will display five customizable widgets for quick access.
The cases themselves have also been designed to be IPX5/8 certified meaning that they are both water and scratch resistant, although we wouldn’t suggest dunking them in water all the same. No word on pricing or availability just yet, but we expect that more details will be revealed soon.
