If you have been on the lookout for a Sony PS4 all this while, but never really managed to get your hands on it, perhaps now would be the time to pick one up – if you live in Japan, that is. It is said that the new price for the Sony PS4 in Japan will be cheaper in Europe than in U.S. Just yesterday, we received word that Sony has unveiled new DualShock 4 controller colors, and here we are with word that Sony will slash the price of its PS4 in Japan by over 10% – which would make it attractive, no doubt about it.
After all, the gaming market is one that is rather competitive, taking into consideration that sales of smartphone games have already surpassed that of console-based titles. With this new announcement, Sony has priced the PS4 to retail for ¥34,980 (approximately $292) from next month onward, which would make it a whole lot more affordable than the existing price tag of €399 in Europe, or the $399 that it costs to pick up a PS4 Stateside. There has been no comments on whether such similar price cuts will be extended anywhere outside of Japan, bummer!
