As far as gaming controllers are concerned, the Sony DualShock 4 is a pretty good one. However if you’re a little bored of its look and color, you might be interested to learn that during Sony’s pre-TGS press conference in Japan, the company has officially taken the wraps off four new color options.
The new color options includes silver and steel black. Also given how popular gold seems to be these days as far as color options are concerned, Sony has also unveiled a gold model which you can check out in the image above. Of course this isn’t actual gold but rather a coat of paint, so rest easy as it should play nicely with your wallet.
There is also a translucent model, which Sony calls “crystal”, which you can see in the image above to the right. In some way we are reminded of the Game Boy back in the day, where there were see-through options that despite it looking like a mess, was actually a rather popular options amongst gamers at that time.
Pricing was not mentioned but presumably they will retail the same as the regular DualShock 4 controllers. The gold, silver, and steel black models are expected to be released come 6th of November, and the crystal model will go on sale on the 3rd of December. While some of the models were announced for Europe, there has not been any confirmation of a stateside release just yet.
