Sony A7S II Does 4K Video Even In The Dark Of Night

Every good thing these days do seem to need to have a sequel of sorts, just like the movie industry. I suppose those of us who are avid gadget users are not complaining, and just in case you happen to be happy with your Sony A7S, a full frame mirrorless shooter from Sony that was released last year, here is some more good news. Sony has just revealed a sequel to it in the form of the Sony A7S II, where it will work on the weaknesses of its predecessor, no matter how few those were.

Within the magnesium-alloy body, the Sony A7S II happens to be rather similar to its predecessor, including the 12.2 megapixel full-frame sensor and Bionz X processor. However, do take note that the Sony A7S II will now boast of 5-axis image stabilization that is similar to the A7 II, delivering far better shots even when your hand is suffering from the jitters. Sony also claims that the autofocus system ought to be faster and more accurate.

What makes the Sony A7S II so delicious is the inclusion of internal 4K video recording, alongside a trio of new picture profile settings. The grip has been redesigned too, alongside the shutter buttons, and your eyes will be able to enjoy a new OLED electronic viewfinder with 0.78x magnification. The asking price of $3,000 as the Sony A7S II arrives later this October might be a wee bit too much for some though.
