When you think of Runtastic, the runner-centric fitness app probably comes to mind. However it seems that after being acquired by Adidas, the company has started to branch out beyond just creating apps. Recently at IFA 2015, Runtastic announced the Moment series of fitness trackers which you can see for yourself in the photo above, which are also currently available for purchase via Runtastic’s website.
As you can tell, there are different designs and models that are offered. However all of them share one design trait which is that they are designed to look like a traditional watch, but at the same time offer up fitness tracking capabilities. There are four different models to choose from: the Moment Fun, Moment Basic, Moment Elite, and Moment Classic.
All the models offer up the same features which include steps and distance, active minutes, calories burnt, sleep cycles, and goals. They have also been designed to be water-resistant up to 300 feet, and can alert users when it detects that they have been inactive for too long. Best of all, it is powered by a regular watch battery so users won’t need to charge it as often as they would a smartwatch or fitness tracker.
Like we said there are different models but they differ mainly in design and price. The Fun will feature a silicon strap and is priced at $129.99. The Basic will be similar to the Fun but will have a larger display and will be priced similarly. The Elite is for those who desire a more classy look with a black leather band and is priced at $179.99. Last but not least is the Classic which is similar to the Elite in price, but will come in silver, gold, and rose gold options.
