OnePlus is believed to be working on a new smartphone which it intends to release before the end of this year and many think that this is going to be a “mini” handset from the company. Not much information is available about the purported OnePlus Mini at this point in time but a device thought to be this handset has been spotted on AnTuTu benchmark, possibly offering us a glimpse at what the first OnePlus Mini might be sporting under the hood.
Given that it’s incredibly easy to create fake benchmark results it’s imperative to take this information with a grain of salt since nothing has been officially confirmed about the OnePlus Mini, and there’s not a whole lot of evidence yet to support the theory that this handset is on its way.
Nevertheless, the benchmark finds that this device carry model number A2301 has a 1080×1920 pixel resolution display with an octacore MediaTek MT6795T processor under the hood coupled with 2GB RAM and a PowerVR Rogue G6200 graphics processor.
There’s also 32GB of onboard storage and a 13 megapixel rear camera while the device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop which is the latest publicly available version of Google’s mobile operating system.
On paper the specs seem good enough for a “mini” handset but obviously it can’t be said for sure if this really is the much rumored OnePlus Mini. I guess we’ll have to keep waiting until more concrete proof surfaces which confirms that this device really does exist.
