Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is basically the last Metal Gear title we can expect to see from Hideo Kojima. Unless things change in the future, chances are this it is going to be moving forward. It’s safe to say that things will never be the same again, although for all we know it is possible that future games might be better.
That being said if you have completed the game and you’re looking forward to additional content, you might be disappointed. According to a tweet by Konami’s online community manager Robert Allen Peeler, there will not be any additional story content that could be released as a DLC.
However the semi-good news is that there will be additional content in the form of new outfits for Snake and his horse, but other than that don’t expect new storylines to be introduced. In the meantime Konami has since squashed the rumors that they are cancelling production on future triple-A titles.
This means that if you are looking forward to new Metal Gear content from the publisher in the future, although it will not be developed by Hideo Kojima anymore. Like we said whether or not this is a good or bad thing remains to be seen, but in the meantime gamers looking to extend their gameplay of Metal Gear Solid V can do so via Metal Gear Online.
