It was a bit of a controversy but it seems that Capcom has learnt from their mistakes. Speaking to Game Revolution at the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom’s producer Matt Dahlgren confirmed that with Street Fighter V, there will not be on-disc DLC this time around and replied in the affirmative, “There will not be on-disc DLC, for sure.”
For those wondering how will gamers be able to access new characters added to the game, Capcom had previously confirmed that this was possible by purchasing them using in-game currency. This currency can be earned by either playing the game, or by purchasing it using real-life money.
That being said, Street Fighter V has been pegged for a release in 2016. It will be arriving on the PC and the PlayStation 4. Gamers who plan on playing it on their PC will be pleased to know that the hardware requirements for the game have since been released.
