When it comes to smartphone photography, we usually expect to see brands like Samsung, Apple, LG, or Sony top the list. In fact it was only until recently that we saw a Huawei-made Nexus ranked second best by DxOMark, second only to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which is a very impressive feat for any phone, let alone a Nexus whose lineup as not exactly been known for their photo-taking prowess.
That being said we’re sure some of you guys are curious as to what are the results of the camera of the Nexus 6P, and whether or not it deserves its ranking. If you are curious, you’re in luck because Google’s Romain Guy has recently posted a bunch of sample photos taken by the phone onto Google+ where you can peruse them at your own leisure.
First of all we have to admit that from what we are seeing, the photos do look pretty impressive, although we have to say that composition played a big role in helping them look more attractive and appealing aesthetically. That being said, the colors are bright and bold under good lighting conditions, although in photos that are darker or have dark patches, you can start to see the noise creep through a bit.
However if you plan on just uploading them onto Facebook where the resolution might be smaller and compressed, we reckon you should get away with it just fine, but what do you guys think? Like what you see so far?
