This new Wii U bundle will come with Mario Kart 8 preinstalled on a premium Wii U console. However unlike the limited edition bundle, there will not be any special toys that are part of the bundle. The upside is that if toys aren’t your thing, the new bundle will come with a Nintendo eShop download card that will give gamers access to two of the game’s DLC packs.
Both DLCs have already been released, with one of them introducing Link and the Hyrule circuit. The second DLC adds a pair of Villagers and Isabelle to the game, along with an Animal Crossing race course that will randomly select one of the four seasons as its theme, so if you’re looking for a way to shake up your experience, these DLCs will probably do a good job of that.
Unfortunately it appears that despite the Wii U and Mario Kart 8 being “old”, there won’t be a price cut as this bundle is priced at $299. However like we said, if you haven’t played the game yet and are thinking about getting a Wii U, this bundle sounds like the perfect solution.
