It does seem to be rather difficult to keep a secret these days, don’t you think so? A bunch of new slides have shown off the kind of content that Microsoft’s upcoming trio of Lumia handsets will come with, namely the Microsoft Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, and Lumia 550. In an internal presentation, someone must have taken the opportunity to secretly snap some photos of the slides, where you can view them in the photo gallery right after the jump.
These new handsets will debut officially alongside the Microsoft Band 2 as well as the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 this coming 6th of October at an event that will be held in New York City. The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL wil no doubt be the flagship device for Microsoft, where hardware specifications include a 5.7” QHD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, 32GB of internal memory, a 20MP PureView camera, a 5MP selfie camera, USB Type-C connectivity, an Iris scanner, and a 3,300mAh battery that boasts of support for Qualcomm QuickCharge and Qi wireless charging.
As for the Microsoft Lumia 950, it will come with a smaller 5.2” QHD display, runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, and has a 3,000mAh battery, otherwise everything else underneath the hood would be more or less the same with the 950 XL. Either way, both devices will support Windows 10 Continuum, letting users hook them up to a full-size monitor through a dedicated dock.
Last but not least would be the Microsoft Lumia 550 that will feature a 5” HD display, an unnamed Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with 1GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP selfie shooter, and a 1,905mAh battery, and it is expected to be a relatively affordable handset.
