The older Dell Venue Pro 8 has been around for quite a while now, where it also picked up a new BIOS update from time to time. Well, won’t it be swell if there were to be an update to this old model? It looks like that is all set to happen, with a new generation Dell Venue 8 Pro packing in a faster processor to keep up with the times, in addition to an optional higher resolution display, too.
Leaked documents point to the upcoming Dell Venue 8 Pro to feature a Dell Active Stylus as well, which is what the older generation models had as well. So far, leaked hardware specifications, if true, would mean the new Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 series (5855) tablet will not be a pushover at all. In fact, it is touted to arrive with an 8” display with two resolution options – 1280 x 800 pixels and 1920 x 1200 pixels.
Apart from that, an Intel Atom x5 Cherry trail processor is touted to power it, alongside Windows 10 as the operating system of choice, 802.11ac WiFi, Miracast and WiDi wireless display, and NFC support, a USB Type-C port, while optional items include a 3D depth-sensing camera, 4G LTE and/or HSPA+ and docking stations which will expand its connectivity through HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, and USB routes.
