It looks like HP is not about to stop with their Envy range of devices, where the past has seen the likes of the HP Envy X2 as well as the HP Envy 4. This time around, we have received word that HP intends to roll out a spanking new tablet that will boast of an 8” display, hence its name, the HP Envy Note 8. How appropriate for it to run on the Windows 10 operating system then, where underneath the hood you will find the likes of an Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor as well as stylus and keyboard support.
Do bear in mind that the HP Envy Note 8 has not been unveiled in an official manner as of yet, although details are starting to appear here and there – most of them on unofficial spaces, of course. HP’s Swiss website was said to have hosted a product listing for the device for a very short while, although it has been removed.
Apart from that, we do know that there will be an Intel Atom x5-8300 processor running proceedings from within, a micro USB port, a microSD memory card slot, and a micro SIM card slot. At the back lies a 5MP camera with auto-focus support, where the tablet will be accompanied by a keyboard case alongside a microfiber cover. No idea on the amount of screen resolution, storage capacity or total memory, although FCC documents do point to 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
