It was first reported a couple of months back that Microsoft has started developing the second-generation Microsoft Band. The company’s wearable device turned out to be quite successful so there are many people out there waiting to see what it’s able to achieve with the new one. It’s expected to show off the new Band at its event next month, today purported renders of the Microsoft Band 2 have leaked online.
The original Microsoft Band is a very capable fitness tracker but it doesn’t really stand out design-wise, one could wish that it had a much more eye-catching design and that’s what Microsoft appears to have gone for with the Band 2, assuming these renders are legitimate, which Microsoft Insider claims they are.
Other reports suggest that as seen in these renders the Microsoft Band 2 is going to have a curved face, we also see in these renders that the fitness tracker may have a metallic finish which is a major departure from the rather simple looks of its predecessor.
If this really is Microsoft’s next fitness tracker then the company certainly has improved its design game, but seeing as how these renders come from an unofficial source, we can’t really be sure of anything at this point in time.
