Earlier this month we reported that there was a save bug for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This save bug basically had the potential to corrupt your saved game files, meaning that you could lose your progress that you have worked so hard for. Now according to new reports, a new save bug has appeared.
This time instead of targeting both the PC and PS4, this particular bug seems to affect only the PS4. Even then it seems that the bug is limited in nature and seems to target PS4 owners who might have multiple Sony Entertainment Network accounts linked to it. Assuming that is you, then this is a bug you’ll want to look out for, but if you don’t, you can ignore it.
Basically what happens is that if you do have multiple SEN accounts, you might be greeted by this error message: “This save data cannot be used, as the relevant downloadable content was not found.” When that happens, you will not be able to launch the game, which once again will hamper your progress.
Konami has acknowledged the bug but there is no fix just yet. Instead the company is advising gamers to only use one SEN account per PS4. In some cases we reckon this might not be possible, but Konami is working on a solution which will hopefully be released in the near future. In the meantime any of our readers encounter this bug themselves?
