If you’re a Tizen user or if you’d like to get your hands on a Tizen phone but were wondering about the availability of popular apps, you might be pleased to learn that Samsung has announced that they will be bringing popular messaging apps such as LINE and WeChat onto the platform.
This announcement follows an earlier one in which Rovio promised that Angry Birds would also be making its way onto the operating system. Unfortunately there were no dates provided with regards to the rollout of these apps, but this is something that Tizen users can look forward to in the near future.
This is also an important move by Samsung. After all regardless of how well your operating system performs, if it lacks and ecosystem not many users will want to get on it. At the same time with the lack of users, developers are also less willing to craft apps for the operating system as well, which in reality is kind of a vicious cycle.
Tizen has been slowly courting famous apps onto the platform and the addition of LINE and WeChat will no doubt be able to convince more users to hop on board the platform, and will join the likes of WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
