Some have speculated that with rumors of the LG V10, the LG G4 Pro would be shelved in favor of the device. Other comments have also suggested that the “Pro” branding used by LG has been killed off, meaning that the LG G4 Pro could be named something else entirely, or for all we know the LG G4 Pro and the LG V10 are the same device.
For those unfamiliar, the LG V10 is an upcoming handset from LG which was spotted at China’s TENAA a couple of weeks ago. The phone is rumored to sport a 5.7-inch QHD display and a Snapdragon 808 chipset under the hood. There is talk about 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, along with a 16MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera.
These specs certainly sound like they would fit in nicely with the idea of a high-end/flagship device, which is why it is understandable why some have speculated that it could have replaced the LG G4 Pro. In any case LG has confirmed that they will be hosting an event on the 1st of October, so perhaps we might learn more then.
