LG Class Officially Announced in South Korea

The other day we reported that thanks to a teaser from LG, it was suggested that they had a new phone in the works. Subsequent rumors revealed that it would be the LG Class, and now it has been officially announced. Safe to say due to its announcement in South Korea, there is a good chance we won’t be seeing it stateside, but who knows?

Looking at specs, it’s not a particularly impressive phone. It will feature a 5-inch HD display. Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset can be found along with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage expandable via microSD, and a 13MP rear-facing camera. It will also support LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, NFC, and will come packing a 2,050mAh battery.

It will also come with Android 5.1 Lollipop preinstalled, so at the very least users will have the semi-latest version of Android installed on their phones. As for pricing, we suppose it’s not surprising either that it has a relatively affordable price tag of $340 (this is after conversion from its price of 399,300 won).

It will be released on SK Telecom, LG U+, and KT and will be available in Gold, Silver, Blue Back, and a white model is expected to be released at a later date.
