If you’re a fan of Microsoft’s Surface series of tablets that can also transform into pseudo laptops thanks to its detachable keyboard folio, you might be interested to learn that Lenovo has announced something similar as well in the form of the Lenovo MIIX 700. As you can see in the photos, it does give off a bit of a Surface feel in terms of design.
So what can we expect from the MIIX 700 tablet? For starters it will pack a pretty large 12-inch display. It will feature a display resolution of 2160×1440 and will be powered by up to a 6th-gen Intel Core m7 processor, so it should be more than capable of getting the job done. It will also be able to support up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of SSD storage.
In terms of its operating system, users can choose between Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home if you don’t require the added features or benefits from the Pro version. There will also be a built-in 5MP front-facing camera, and a 5MP rear-facing camera with Intel’s RealSense camera technology on board.
Lenovo claims that the MIIX 700 will be able to last a good 9 hours with video playback, so if you don’t plan on watching videos for that long, we reckon you should be able to squeeze out a bit more time on its battery. In terms of pricing, the MIIX 700 will be priced at $699 and will be released in November 2015.
