According to the reports, Konami will be ceasing production of triple-A console titles save for Pro Evolution Soccer. The reports goes on to add that there are currently no plans to develop new Metal Gear titles either. Prior to this, there were reports that Konami was already looking to start developing new Metal Gear titles even before Hideo Kojima had officially left the company.
While we don’t know the full story, it is possible that Konami might have given up on those efforts as well, or at the very least put them on the backburner. There have been several reports of problems going on within Konami, with management apparently practicing very draconian management techniques.
We can’t say for sure that these reports are 100% accurate, but like we said if you have enjoyed Konami’s triple-A titles in the past, there is a good chance that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and the upcoming PES 2016 will be last triple-A titles we might be able to see from the publisher for a while.
