Jolla and their Sailfish OS have been in the spotlight before, and earlier this year in March, we brought you word that Sailfish 2.0 is all set to arrive. It does look as though being patient does have its virtues, and the Finnish company has just announced the availability of the Sailfish OS 2.0 preview release. This has been deemed to be the “biggest update” in Jolla’s history, where they claim that it “introduces a totally new and visually refreshed user interface, which is fast and easy to use, enhancing the flow of the OS dramatically, and making the user interface designed for seamless multitasking like never before.”
You know what they say – the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and I would like to think (fingers crossed) that the folks over at Jolla certainly know what they are doing. Sailfish OS 2.0 happens to support not only the Jolla Phone, but also their new Tablet (whose pre-orders went live last month) that is all set to roll out soon with Jolla OS 2.0, of course. The release today happens to target the “more advanced users” and developers who have already enrolled earlier on in Jolla’s ‘early access’ program. [Press Release]
