Apart from the difference in display size, resolution, and battery, both the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus differ in their cameras as well. The megapixels of both cameras remain identical, but at the same time the iPhone 6s Plus comes with optical image stabilization versus the digital stabilization offered in the iPhone 6s.
For the average user this might not might make of a difference, but if you have lofty plans for your iPhone’s videos, then perhaps the iPhone 6s Plus might be worth your consideration. In fact thanks to the folks at Giga Tech, they have put together a video (see above) which demonstrates the difference in video quality.
The video also shows off the iPhones’ ability to shoot in 4K resolution, which according to Giga Tech seems to perform better on the iPhone 6s Plus thanks to its optical image stabilization. This does not mean that the iPhone 6s can’t record in 4K, it’s just that its built-in digital image stabilization is not as effective as optical image stabilization.
However if you have no plans to record in 4K, then both devices appear to be able to record in Full HD just fine. Both the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have since been released. If you were not quick on the draw, chances are you might now have to wait several weeks before you can get your hands on them.
