However over in China, it’s an entirely different story. It seems that despite China’s economy and the fact that there are plenty of cheaper alternatives from Xiaomi and Huawei, Apple’s iPhones appear to be in huge demand. So much so that all of Apple’s new iPhone models have completely sold out.
This applies to pretty much every configuration, with reports that the rose gold option being the first to sell out. In fact according to reports, Apple’s iPhones in China sold out in 12 hours. This has left new customers waiting 2-3 weeks for the smaller iPhone 6s, and 3-4 weeks for the larger iPhone 6s Plus.
Earlier this month we had heard that Apple placed record orders for their new models, but based on the fact that they are selling out so quickly, it would seem that even then it might not have been enough. If you have yet to order yours, you probably should as we expect that the shipping times will continue to slip as more orders pile in.
