Apple is now done with today’s event in San Francisco and with that behind it the company is back to work again, this means that the developers can go back to work again. Many of them have spent the past few months testing out new beta builds of iOS 9.0, with Apple confirming today when the new software will arrive for the public the company has also released iOS 9.1 to developers in beta.
The public has had to wait patiently for iOS 9, it was first shown off at the Worldwide Developers Conference earlier this year and since then it has been in beta, developers have been testing it and getting their apps ready in time for the public release.
Apple confirmed today that it’s going to release iOS 9 to the public on September 16th, all compatible devices will receive the update across the globe on that day.
With iOS 9 effectively out the door work has now begun on iOS 9.1, it may not be a major update so it would be best to not keep your fingers crossed for any major new features, for all we know it may only bring bug fixes and performance tweaks.
There’s no saying when iOS 9.1 will be released to the public, most of us will just be glad to get our hands on iOS 9.0 in the very near future.
