Intel Skylake Delivers Wireless Charging, Visual Logins

When it comes to technological advancements, you can be sure that Intel is right at the forefront of things. In fact, their Skylake chip is said to be able to wake up your Windows 10 computer with your voice alone, now how about that? This is not a one trick pony, either, as here we are with word that the 14-nanometer sixth-generation Skylake chips will also be able to support wireless charging in addition to visual logins, now how about that for versatility?

Intel has staked its claim that the new Skylake chips are capable of offering over double the performance and at the same time, deliver three times the battery life where your machine is concerned. Not only that, superior graphics performance will also be supported, and this would include 4K video as well as Intel’s Speed Shift technology, where it improves responsiveness on graphics operations.

With the inclusion of RealSense cameras, this 3D visual system might eventually help see the end of passwords, since it would open the door for facial recognition sign-in. Another possibility in the future could be the fruit of Intel’s partnership with other companies when it comes to introducing wireless charging capability to their machines – with several already being test piloted at various hotels. The future of computing certainly looks as bright as ever, if not even more.
