With the Internet these days, picking up a review of a particular item online is what most of us would do. After all, it not only saves us plenty of time, but the right, trustworthy source that we resonate with will be able to do all the legwork, so to speak, possibly nudging us to make that purchase, or to help us avoid a potential bomb. How about bringing the online experience to the real world? This is what Internet comedian Jeff Wysaski did, where he is also known as Imgur user obviousplant. Wysaski trolled Ikea by putting up a slew of in-store reviews on selected pieces of furniture and housewares.
Reading those fake reviews would definitely have been a hoot, and it might just ease the tension in a family that has been searching for the right pieces of furniture all day long. Needless to say, these reviews were written by Wysaski himself despite representing fictional people. It is always nice to see such a sense of humor around, especially in these economically depressing times. Perhaps we can work on such a concept in other stores, but Ikea has a bunch of items that are definitely prime material for such a sense of humor.
