So far from what we know, Fallout 4 is shaping up to be quite a massive game. We heard that there will be over 400 hours of content, and its script is larger than Fallout 3 and Skyrim combined. That sounds like a lot of content that gamers can look forward to, but what about gameplay?
If you’ve seen some of the trailers of Fallout 4, you’ll realize there are scenes which looks like they belong more to an FPS rather than an RPG. The good news is that these particular fights involving guns is actually courtesy of id Software. It seems that Bethesda decided to tap into their expertise in creating good FPS battles.
According to the game’s director Todd Howard, “Since id Software is part of our company, that’s the first thing we did, we call them. Like ‘alright, we’re gonna do this from scratch, give us some tips.’” For those unfamiliar with the significance of id Software in the gaming industry, they are the company behind classic titles such as Doom, Wolfenstein, and the Quake series.
Safe to say that the company has lots of experience with regards to creating fun and exciting FPS fights. Fallout 4 has been pegged for a release later this year on the 10th of November, and with the hype surrounding the game, it is expected that it could potentially outsell Skyrim. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen, but we are looking forward to it.
