The leaked specs come courtesy of @evleaks who claims that the HTC One A9 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset. This is different from what we heard before in which the rumors claimed it would be powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset. @evleaks also adds that the phone will come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage expandable via microSD.
The HTC One A9 is also rumored to feature a 5-inch Full HD display, a 2,150mAh battery, fingerprint scanner, a metal build, about 7mm thin, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and it is also expected to be launched in November. Once again this seems to contradict earlier reports of the phone possibly launching by the end of the month.
Now we’re not sure if there might be two models to choose from, or if the earlier rumors were wrong. Assuming this is true, it definitely isn’t the hero device it’s made out to be. Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we will learn more soon.
