HTC has announced a variant of the device called the HTC Butterfly 3. Basically this is a rebranded version of the HTC J Butterfly but since we never got our hands on the device, it’s practically like a brand new handset for us. It packs some pretty impressive specs too so as far as it being outdated is concerned, it should be good for a while.
Just in case you forgot the J Butterfly’s specs, the handset features a 5.2-inch QHD display. Under the hood an octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset can be found along with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, a microSD card, and a 2,700mAh battery. It also features a 20MP rear-facing camera with OIS, a 13MP front-facing selfie camera, and BoomSound speakers.
The HTC Butterfly 3 is expected to first make its way to Taiwan come 20th of October where it will be priced at $600 which we suppose is a fair price for a phone with these specs. No word on when it will make its way stateside, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for it.
