Now before you get a bit discouraged by these prices, fret not because GoPro has recently announced its latest camera, the GoPro HERO+. This is the company’s latest addition to its HERO lineup and it is priced at a more affordable $199.99. It is the most basic of the GoPro cameras and will take video in 1080p resolution at 60fps, which is actually pretty decent.
It will also be able to capture 8MP photos and there is built-in WiFi that allows users to transfer content to their laptops or mobile devices wirelessly. There is a built-in microphone and it has also been designed to be rugged and waterproof, and also comes with a SuperView wide-angle lens to ensure you capture the most of your surroundings.
According to Nicholas Woodman, GoPro’s founder and CEO, “Even as we continue to raise the bar for our highest performing cameras like HERO4 Black, Silver and Session, we remain committed to developing simplified products like HERO+ that make GoPro life-capture accessible to everyone.”
In the meantime GoPro has also slashed the price of the HERO4 Session by $100, dropping it down to $299.99 which is still pricey, but at least more affordable than before. The new HERO+ is expected to go on sale come 4th of October 2015 worldwide.
