Sporting a new logo to go along with the look, this Google Wallet app has even been released as a brand new app – as opposed to it being a regular update to the old app like before. Perhaps this move was taken in order to make way for the arrival of Android Pay, who knows? With Google Wallet, folks are able to use it for peer-to-peer payments.
This is no doubt a response to Apple Pay (which has since shown to be used by up to 42% of iPhone owners) by, who else, but Apple. Targeting vendor payments more than anything else, the Google Wallet app is integrated into the operating system itself, which would provide one with the ability to make use of tap-to-pay for purchases in a more efficient and faster manner.
