Now according to a report from Re/code, both Google and Twitter are apparently interested in launching instant articles as well. Both companies are reportedly working together to help create this feature and from what we understand of it, it will be pretty much along the same lines as what Facebook is offering.
However there is a big difference in this service. Google and Twitter plan to make this framework an open source one, meaning that unlike Facebook where you would need some kind of partnership agreement with the social networking company, open source would allow more publishers to adopt the feature.
Not much is known about the feature for now but it is said to be like a more souped up version of cached web pages. No word on when Google and Twitter will officially announce this initiative, so take it with a grain of salt for now.
