Now the good news is that if you were wondering if Google would ever get around to getting their devices certified, you’re in luck. During a Reddit AMA that the Nexus team held recently, the team confirmed that both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will be getting Band 12 LTE enabled by the ship date of either handset.
We should point out that Google only confirmed that they are working with T-Mobile and that their aim is to get it enabled by the ship date, as opposed to Google actually promising that it will. There is a chance that Google might not be able to make their deadline so that’s always worth taking into consideration, but hopefully they will.
Google has pegged both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P for shipping in late October, meaning that both they and T-Mobile have about a month to sort this out. However even if they don’t, we suppose we can take comfort in knowing that Google is at the very least working on it.
