Dyson’s Bacteria-Killing Humidifier Makes Its Way To The US

Dyson is a company many of you guys should be familiar with. They are the company responsible for putting out stylishly designed home appliances that turns ordinary equipment, such as fans and vacuum cleaners, into highly-desired products. Now if you recall, last year the British company launch a humidifier that also can also kill the bacteria within its water tank.

The device was not available stateside at the time of launch, but the good news is that it has finally arrived on our shores. If the idea of a humidifier that can also kill bacteria sounds good to you, the Dyson AM10 will be available for purchase via Dyson’s website where it will set you back a cool $500.

Admittedly this is rather pricey as far as humidifiers are concerned and you could probably pick one up at a fraction of the price. However we suppose design and branding plays a role in deciding its price, and the fact that Dyson had apparently gone through 643 prototypes and spent $60 million towards creating it.

Unlike most humidifiers which can breed bacteria in its water tank, the Dyson AM10 will be able to kill it. This is thanks to the built-in UV lights that helps to eliminate as much as 99% of the bacteria in the water, giving it the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America’s seal of approval.
