If there is one gripe that many Nexus owners have is the camera quality on their phones. While not entirely unusable, the quality from Nexus cameras have typically left much to be desired. However it turns out that maybe Google and Huawei have finally done something about it with the Nexus 6P.
While we have yet to test the handset and its camera out for ourselves yet, the folks at DxOMark have and according to their findings, Google and Huawei did a very good job here. In fact the Nexus 6P is now ranked by the website as having the second best camera amongst all the phones that they’ve tested so far, beaten only by the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
In fact you might recall that just last week, DxOMark gave the second spot to the LG G4, but the Nexus 6P has since displaced it, pushing the LG G4 down to third. Their position also puts them above the likes of Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, although we are interested to see where the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will rank given its upgraded sensors.
Their review has ranked the Nexus 6P’s photo textures the highest at 93 out of 100. The camera also fared well in exposure and contrast, autofocus speed, noise reduction, and overall good color rendering in outdoor conditions. The Nexus 6P is currently up for pre-order with Google giving $50 in Google Play credit if you were to pre-order by the 25th of October.
