The company, together with a partnership with Sony, has announced a new computer designed for your bicycle that will rely on Android Wear for its computing needs. It will reportedly be able to track all sorts of things during your ride, like the distance you have travelled, elevation gains/drops, speed, path tracking, navigation via Google Maps, and also the ability to work with third-party apps such as Strava.
It will feature a 1.6-inch touchscreen display and according to Canyon, it will boast a 8-10 hour battery life so safe to say it should be more than capable of lasting you through several rides, although this will depend on how long you’re planning on cycling for. The company has 3 versions planned – one for a short mountain bike stem, another for a fully integrated aero road cockpit, and the last is a stem designed for urban bikes.
In terms of pricing, it has been priced at around €200 and it is expected to be released next year.
