According to a post on Steam, “Good news – testing for the interim patch has been completed and it is now available for those who already have Batman: Arkham Knight for PC.” The post also details some of the fixes that gamers can expect, which includes reduced framerate hitches, optimizations for system memory and VRAM usage, along with improved performance on all GPUs, just to name a few.
However given that this is only an interim patch, it also means that there are still niggling issues that have yet to be addressed. This includes support for SLI and Crossfire, support for the latest DLC and season pass content, support for updates such as Photo Mode, and more. There is no word on when the full patch that addresses all the issues will be released, but in the meantime this should be good enough to make it more playable.
So far based on feedback from gamers who got the patch early yesterday, it seems to be largely positive with many claiming that the game will now play with almost no hiccups, or at least none that are very obvious. If you were one of the gamers who bought the game before Warner Bros. suspended sales of the game, you will want to get this patch ASAP.
