Now we’re sure that this will raise some eyebrows, but to be honest 22GB is more than what most customers get to begin with, and unless you plan on abusing it by downloading torrents and streaming Full HD movies non-stop, 22GB of data is more than enough to get you through the month and then some.
According to AT&T, “We recently revised our practices such that Unlimited Data Plan smartphone customers can now use 22GB of high-speed data during a billing period before becoming subject to network management practices that might result in reduced data speeds and increased latency.”
We can only assume that this is also done to prevent abuse of their bandwidth. Previously T-Mobile’s CEO had expressed his outrage of how some customers had abused their unlimited data plans. Apparently there were several customers who managed to consume as much as 2TB of data in a month, which safe to say was a clearcut case of abuse.
