A few months ago ASUS launched their second-gen smartwatch in the form of the ASUS ZenWatch 2, which from what we can tell followed in the footsteps of the design of its predecessor, 2014’s ASUS ZenWatch. Now if you’re wondering when you might be able to purchase the ZenWatch 2, wonder no more!
ASUS has officially confirmed that come October, customers who are interested in putting the ZenWatch 2 on their wrists will be able to do so. The company is planning for a worldwide release in October so all countries should expect to get it at around the same time. While US pricing was not confirmed, it is priced at €149 which is about $170 when converted.
However that is the price for the smaller model, but if you’d prefer the larger model, you can expect to pay €169 which is roughly $190 after conversion, so hopefully pricing in the US will vary too wildly from those estimates. Just as a quick recap on the ZenWatch 2 or those who missed the announcement the first time:
The wearable will feature different sizes – 45mm and 49mm faces. However apart from the difference in size, under the hood both will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. There is a magnetic charger cable and will also feature both dust and water resistance, and will be available in silver, gunmetal, or rose gold.
