The exact figure of iPhones ordered was not revealed, but apparently it was more than the previous generation of iPhones. This seems to suggest that Apple expects that they will sell even more iPhones this year than last. However we should note that these orders are just for inventory and aren’t representative of how many units Apple will sell.
However it does seem to indicate that Apple expects higher-than-ever sales, but whether or not that will translate to actual sales remains to be seen. So far we have heard that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will feature some significant upgrades. One of the key features is Force Touch, or also known as 3D Touch in this case.
The concept will be similar to that of the Apple Watch but will function slightly different, with the display rumored to be capable of detecting three different types/pressures of tapping. There are also rumors of upgraded cameras, improved Touch ID sensors, RAM, and processors, but either way we will find out more come 9th of September so check back with us then for the details.
